Lake Shore Farm

There is no clear description one can give to express the feeling of having nurtured a seed through the germination process, into the re-plantation phase and finally, grinning from ear to ear when you deliver your fresh produce onto the dinner table to share with your family and friends. On our Farm one of our greatest delights is the reaping of fruits and vegetables that we have witnessed grow. To enjoy a tropical fresh fruit salad, a butternut and orange zest soup, or a delicious Mexican salsa, and know that every bit of that meal has been offered up from your garden is FANTASTIC!

Our successes have included all types of squash, together with a zucchini yield that left us wanting to contact the Guinness Book of Records......a delectable range of melons, tomatoes, onions, broccoli, cabbage, potatoes and the list goes on and on. Our failures, which we choose not to discuss, were thankfully returned to the good earth as compost. Try, try and try again.

Our Farm story also features a family of pigs; mom and dad being Cleopatra and Bob, goats; namely Nitrox and Roxy, as well as ducks and chickens, of which there are far too many to name!

We are also pleased to announce that our orchard consisting of banana, papaya, lemon, orange, guava, avocado and numerous others, is doing remarkably well and growing daily.

So, what do we do with all our produce?
Our main priority is to provide you, our guest, with the freshest, tastiest meals uniquely prepared for the Funky Mango Bar and Restaurant, positioned in the sand on the very edge of the Lake shore.

In addition, you are able to purchase a wide variety of produce from our Farm Stall such as fresh organic fruit & veg, pestos, jams, chutneys, pickles as well as a selection of homemade cheese, some of which include roasted garlic & black pepper, sun dried tomatoe & olive and fresh herb fiesta.

Last but by no means least, the Farm is run by our dedicated staff, who daily toil in tying up tomatoes, re-routing butternut, and chasing off naughty monkeys - ensuring that the only ones eating of the fruit is us, HUMANS!

We welcome you to share in our harvest.
